The easternmost pass at Stara planina mountain. Served by main road 9 (E 87). Considered to be one of the most dangerous roads in Bulgaria, this 30-kilometer long mountain pass abounds with countles curves. There is intensive traffic troughout the year. Espesialy problematic are summer, because of the seasonal peak of traffic, and winter because of the frequent snowy weather.
