Clipper Gap Lime kiln

After 1854 Mr. H. T. Holmes opened a quarry at Clipper Gap and erected a lime kiln here. Some of this lime was used in a contract to furnish the lime for the State Capitol Building by Mr Holmes. The site is now private property.
