Dear sanjana 8'A' 2007-08.. Cottons has always been bangalore's oldest institution.. 192 years as of now and was always the most prestigious institution. We've had many firsts... for eg the fully airconditioned state-of-the-art ampitheatre, Recording studio,a huge library, the biggest school playground (1st elevens ground) in bangalore which hosts the cottonian shield every year. Oh yes we are very simple too.. actually u should complete your 10th and jon cottons girls ISC and know what it is to be a cottonian..

This is a student who had the privilege of studying from 1981 to 1990. SHGHS may not have the biggest air-conditioned amphitheatre, but that by far is the last thing any young girl needs, to grow into a well rounded woman. I have come a long way in my life and the foundation Sacred Hearts gave me in terms of its wonderful teaching, has carried me far. The sprawling campus and castle-like buildings have a natural beauty that no modern architecture can surpass. The cherished memories lingering from my singing classes are so precious that it would pale in comparison to any overblown recording studio. I have the best memories of this school and was the last batch to wear the 'red-and-white' uniform. As far as you "Cottonians" go, be proud of your schooling, but don't belittle ours ! AGE QUOD AGIS !

I attended Sacred Heart school in the 60's - yes, a very long time ago. They were the best years - the red and white uniform smart and our sports day was something special. I now live in Australia and hope to return to visit SHGHS one day soon. |

Could someone please help me find an association for past students of Sacred Heart- I am sure there must be one. I am very interested to contact friends/& obtain information & photographs of the mid 1960's. I have the best memories of my old school and its wonderful teachers and friendships. My brother went to St Anthonys (Brian Kent).. we now live in Australia. Any sort of infomation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks .. |
