Simon Gratz High School is the home of the Dragons. Alumni include NBA stars Rasheed Wallace, Aaron McKie, and Mardy Collins, baseball Hall-of-Famer Roy Campanella and actor Grayson Hall. The school was founded in 1927 and is named for a noted Philadelphia civic leader, legislator, educator and philanthropist.

  • Did Simon Gratz, the man who founded this school, found anything else? I grew up in a small rural town called Gratz about 40 miles north of Harrisburg, PA that was also founded by a Simon Gratz.
