Yes, this is a preparatory Catholic Girls school. No, they do not wear school uniforms. The girls are, by and large, charming and well behaved in the neighborhood. It is the parents that you have to look out for. Any event that brings in a crush of parental units will result in dangerous and illegal parking, shockingly inconsiderate behavior, and a display of selfishness that they themselves would soundly punish in their own children.

Do try politely pointing out to these wayward parents that it's not a good idea to park in front of the fire hydrant, and it's then that the swearing, rude hand gestures and angry peel-outs make their appearance.

You can observe a small taste of this by watching the corner of 21st Ave E and E Roy Streets from about 2:20pm to 2:45pm on any school day.

Great kids, terrible parents.
