Radha hotel now stands at the site where stood the ancestral home to Wunnava family. Wunnava Bungalow was built by Late Rao Saheb Sri Wunnava Venkata Butchi Ramalingam Pantulu garu. Ramalingam Pantulu garu was a city father who represented at Second Round Table Conference at London alongwith Sri Jogayya Pantulu garu (father of VV Giri). He was Vice Chairman of Berhampur Municipality. Notable among the various institutions he founded are City High School Ganjam District Land Mortgage Bank. He had three sons (Narasimha Ramalingam garu, Senkara Rao garu, Rama Rao garu) and two daughters (Savitramma garu and Saraswathamma garu). All grand children of this joint family used to assemble during summer vacations and have great fun. |
