The village Bukovel contains the largest and the most developed ski resort in Ukraine. It claims to operate 50 km of runs, and has 14 lifts, snowboarding fun-park, ski rentals, shops, and numerous related facilities. Bukovel also claims to undergo a major development and in the future it plans to put in operation 278 km of runs and 35 lifts, which would make it one of the 20 largest ski resorts in the world.
Among other activities of interest there are available several excursions covering unique Precarpathian region with its picturesque mountains, original culture, and numerous museums, architectural, historical, cultural, and religious monuments.
