Opened Easter, 1955 by the Lafrance family, White's is a restaurant and major banquet facility for the South Coast region. Many weddings, proms, bridal fairs and other events are held here. There are two restaurants, the original Priscilla Room and the Galley Grille, as well as as many as nine separate rooms for banquets and functions. The restaurant also contains a large collection of memorabilia from the former Fall River Line.

The owners of the restuarant, Lafrance Hospitality Company, owns three restaurants (White's, Bittersweet Farms and Rachel's Lakeside in Dartmouth), a catering company and six hotels throughout southeastern New England, including the adjacent Hampton Inn.
