The college was a fairly good one in the 80's when Dr. Fazlur Rahman was the head of the mechanical department, but don't know how it is now. Anyways it was fun time for those who liked it there in those days. The parking area of this structure would be filled up by students and their bikes only during the exams.

It is True that during 1980 to 1990 college was fairly good enough with its vast space around with such a beautiful surroundings having a laboratory settlement at its place more over all the lecturers were good and very co-operative, it was those spend few years is just like a beautiful memories left in mind wans to write more but offcourse i should not garland myself but being an IIT student during 80's i am doing a creative work being a civil engineer(project management side)and i have been doing good at different work places/countries like gulf and presently in australia working on project management side.My feeling is it all depends how one takes the situation.I accept the fact there are ups and downs which also happen to be with IIT.I still hope if the management becomes more professional and improve in the areas of lacking to take the college further to meet certain standards, the day is not far IIT will be one of the best engineering college ever found.
