Passeig de Gràcia (Barcelona)

This is undoubtedly THE finest and most expensive address in the Ciudad Condal. After demolition of the ancient city walls in the second half of the 19th century, Passeig de Gràcia, the former street linking BCN with the neighbouring village of Gràcia - hence the name - became the centre line of the Eixample, Barcelona's enlargement, dividing the Esquerra (Left) and Dreta (Right side) of it. Here you will find some of the most exclusive shops in town, several Gaudí buildings, head-offices of big banks and corporations. The sidewalks are large and invite to take a walk on their gleaming pavement with artistic shapes or stop for a coffee and do people-watching.
