  • Monglaport and Bania Shanta shall remaiin in my Memory til the last day of my life.During the Freedom fight war of Bangladesh,I was a Marine Commando and attacked Monglaport on 15th August along with other commandos.Among others were actively present in that operation were Babu,Raja Chacha,Khalil,Lalit kumar Palit,Afzal and others. The operation was leaded by me.The operation is known as Operation Jackpot.On 15th August Bangladeshi Marine Commando attacked major sea and river ports of Bangladesh and were able to destroy 54 Ships,vessels in Mongla,Chittagong, Daudkandi and ports of Bangladesh. We started from Port Canning Matlar(India) and came through Sundarban to Mongla. Finally on 13th August we came to Dhangmari Bill (Marshi Area) and took our shelter at Jamidar Bari.There were 250 C&C Special Commando with us who gave us support while we put Limpet mine on the Foreign Ships which were landed in MONGLA PORT. The operation was sucessful,we could destroy 8 Ships among them American Ship S.S.Lighting,Twide bank etc. I shall not forget Bania Shanta,Dhangmari Bill and Monglaport. Aminur Rahman,Khosru
  • now Bani shanta is fmailiar as shanti nagar where lot of bengali prostitutes are residing in their small shelter and do prostitution whole night with mariners who land there and also bengalis who are residing nearby are stay whit these prostitutes and enjoy the their nights with such a little amount of Taka
