One of 2 baseball fields that will host Baseball events during the 2008 Summer Olympics. It is the larger, more permanent field, covering an area of 15,000 square metres and having a capacity of 12,000 seats, of which only 1,000 are permanent. It was constructed from December 2005 to August 2007.
