The Army Welfare Housing Organization apartments or the Army Flats as it is better known among the localites is set in a beautiful location, with the picturesque view of the backwater islands on one side and the busy highcourt area on the other.
The AWHO apartments has an active flat organization which coordinates activities and deals with the general administration of the flat. It is a great place for kids to grow up, and a hub for their friends to hang out.
These apartments were built for the retired Army personnels initially, but are being sold by them for handsome amounts to localites. A large percentage of the residents are also staying for rent.
There is 24 hour water supply, 24 hour security service and car-parking space for the owners as well as their guests.
Overall, it is one of the best places to live in, in Ernakulam.

It is quite a cool place to hang out during your holidays to Kerala, especially for NRIs. It is centrally located and close to all amenities, considering that I grew up and studied there. The evening sun set was and still is breathtaking and I enjoyed several evenings with friends during my youth in the area there. The ambience of the place is unique and I look forward to my sojourn while on holiday to Kerala in my cosy nest, marine view apartment 'Jovilla' at AWHO.
