The cooling tower and adjacent cold storage facility were jointly were built in 1941 to store the fruit and vegetables
In 1951 kibbutz Yagur built a larger storage facility and packing house. A store Duchan was opened nearby
The cooling process : the water flowing from the top of a tower to its interior space was cooled by the wind and collected in a concrete basin at the bottom. It cooled the compressed, hot gas in the storage facility's cooling pipes and its interior space. The water that absorbed the heat from the gas flowed back to the top and the process repeated itself
