Seri Wawasan Bridge
The bridge, is designed to link Precinct 8 and the Mixed Development Precinct in the Core Island. Due to its highly visible location, the bridge can create a very strong impression of Putrajaya.
Architecture
The bridge draws its inspiration from a sailboat. It comprises a single span of 240m long supported by stay cables anchored at the other end to a forward leaning concrete pylon. A combination of cable backstays and structural steel tie back in two planes provides equilibrium to the structure.
The concrete bridge is designed to carry dual three-lane carriageways, cycle track and pedestrian walkways.
This bridge is opened in 16 April 2003
