First opening for business on April 15, 2011, Fawn Creek Winery is a family affair, currently owned by three siblings and their spouses: Sally and Dan Haberkorn, Dan and Diana Hanson, and Susan and John Marx. This property was originally owned by Susan who lived in the house that still stands on the grounds. She had the initial passion and idea that came to fruition, Fawn Creek Winery. Since 2011, our winery has expanded from one building into three separate buildings, three decks, and six tasting bars. Fawn Creek is a relaxing winery nestled in the forests of Dell Prairie. But on weekends our quiet neck-of-the-woods is transformed into the best music venue in Southwest Wisconsin! We have received the WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) People’s Choice Live Music Venue award 4 out of 5 years; join us on a summer weekend to find out why! Feel free to wander our vineyard, the nine-hole disc golf course, down to the forgotten sugar shack, and play any of the yard games provided around the grounds.

Virtually all of Fawn Creek wines are made from grapes harvested in Lodi, California, but they are all fermented, created and bottled on-site. In addition to offering traditional semi-dry table reds and semi-sweet to sweet table whites, we have found a niche in fruit-flavored grape wines of a sweeter nature such as Granny's Gold, a Granny Smith-apple-flavored Riesling, and Razz Prairie, a raspberry-flavored Pinot Noir.

Fawn Creek Vineyard blossoms with Frontenac, Swenson White, and Prairie Star grapes. These varieties can be grown in a mid-western climate and short growing season unlike many well-known varietals. Although Mother Nature had different plans for the vineyard in recent years, previous harvests have been fruitful, and our award-winning 2018 Dell Prairie Rose is a perfect example of what these tart grapes can become.
