Arraiján is one of the satellite cities of Panama City as it is within commuting distance of the calital. Arraiján has grown tremendously with large residential subdivisions built up in the surrounding hills ringing the core flanking the Panamaerican Highway.
Arraiján is also the adminstrative distric seat of the area.
