  Crowisland is a housing project iniciated by Minister Peter Kennaman and later upgraded by Minister R. Premadasa then Minister of Housing & construction. Due to credit squeeze by the bank, this scheme converted to a money spinning middle class housing scheme given to people willing to pay maximum downpayment on hire purchase. It is a multi ethnic, multi community scheme. Jusst 1 Meter above sea level. We enjoy living in Crowisland. Justin
