A puzzlement or question exclamation mark is a punctuation mark that appears in many languages. This mark is created from a combination of a question mark followed by an exclamation mark:?! This sign can convey a feeling of contempt, panic or shock.

The use of this sign indicates a puzzlement, or a rhetorical question, for example:

You think?!
How long?!
Want to get to Paris by submarine ?!

The one who says these sentences expresses a question in his tone of voice, but does not expect to receive an answer since the answer is clear to him.

Many writers have used multiple punctuation marks at the end of a sentence to express different emotions. Usually a plurality of signs comes after the question mark in order to express additional emotion on the question, usually general excitement, however the additional signs are considered as literary means expressing feelings and not agreed-upon signs accepted according to the rules of grammar. for example:
