Buckingham Palace is the official London residence of King Charles III of the United Kingdom. Buckingham Palace is a setting for state occasions and royal entertaining and a major tourist attraction.

The palace's forecourt including the Victoria Memorial has been a rallying point for the British people at times of national rejoicing and crisis.

In 2024, reconstruction of the palace began, which will last 10 years. During the work, some of the most luxurious halls will be closed. All state visits until 2027 will take place at Windsor Castle. The last guest before the closure of the palace should be the Emir of Qatar, who will visit it in December 2024.
