Strathnairn Arts Association is an artists' co-operative, with 12 studios and a wide range of gas, electric and wood-fired kilns.

Strathnairn Homestead Gallery is set in a converted 1920s homestead on the north-western outskirts of Canberra. It is a facility which has been used by artists for decades but still remains one of Canberra's best-kept secrets.

The property was originally part of a land grant awarded to 19th century explorer Charles Sturt. In the early 20th century it became a mixed farm and, in the 1970s, the Blue Folk Community Arts centre.

The gallery features regular exhibitions of woodwork, photography, sculpture, glass, textiles, ceramics and mixed media. Adjacent to the gallery is a small shop, set up by SCOOP, a co-operative formed by members of Strathnairn which displays and sells a range of works each weekend.

Each November, the Strathnairn Arts Association holds its Annual Members Exhibition in the gallery, showcasing the work of members.
