    I was born in Pasil , to lots of people, it.s a slum ,dirty and poor, but in reality is Pasil a place no other .I been away from home , more than 30 years,the yearning to go back and be alive , is Pasil .I traveled a lot and thankful to God, I married a wonderful husband for 29 years and have 4 children and 5 grandchildren.I came from a big Family of seven, and father and mother who loves us a lot .Five of seven we are all professional, one a teacher ,nurse , dietician, businesswoman , one engineering who became a policeman and my other policeman brother who followed my fathers footstep and our youngest brother.we are not in good terms now but we have in common that our parents give us , from my heart we all good parents. we love our children a lot . I miss the good old days in Pasil.I am here in this rich and clean country but my heart still belong to Pasil and my family knows about it .So world mock Pasil,but still the best loved place.

    Proud Pasilnon here! Here's the thing. Before you believe what's written online, try to research first and discover by your own self the topic you have read because not all info's that are being read online is reliable :) Yes, we might be crowded but it doesn't mean we are the poorest. We are not also homeless because our lot has been registered legally. Last thing, if you visit Pasil, you will not only eat dried fish as mentioned above info. but also variety of Filipino cuisine that is affordable and palatable.     i have visited Cebu 7 times and will visit again next week. i usually stay in Mabolo and have many friends there and also in Hipodromo, this visit i really want to visit Pasil, i have seen it only whilst travelling along the highway and always want to go there. my friends are organizing a day walking in Pasil for me. Im from Melbourne , Australia and i wish i lived in your country lol.
