Hotel Five44

USA / New Jersey / West New York / West 48th Street, 544

4-story hotel completed in 1873 as a townhouse. Now converted to a boutique hotel, its facade is clad in grey brick. The ground floor has an entrance on the left, with a metal-framed glass door, and to the right is a secondary entrance with another glass door, and a double-window with uneven-width panes, above a stone sill and metal vent. The ground floor is topped by a simple stone band.

The upper floors have three bays of single-windows, with flat, beige stone sills and lintels, and black metal vents below each sill. A grey metal fire escape runs down the east two bays of the facade, which is crowned by a small stone roof cornice.
