La Societe des Quarante Hommes et Huit Chevaux (English: "The Society of Forty Men and Eight Horses"; usually shortened to Forty and Eight), is an organization of U.S. veterans with headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana. It was originally founded by Joseph W. Breen in March 1920 as an honor society for The American Legion.
