90+ room house built by Pullman heiress early 1900s. Saved and renovated within the last 10 years and is a private residence of Charles Johnson, chairman of Franklin Resources.

Originally an estate of over 500 acres, deeded to the heiress Harriett Pullman when her father died, she had been actively planning to create a house and garden that would excite "the wonder and admiration of America" and reflect her refined and cultivated interests, the Carolands mansion was the result.
