This is the largest standing statue in Ukraine. After the collapse of USSR many statues were torn down. This one survives in the city center. It is on Maidan Svobody, which is one of the biggest squares in Europe, once also a air strip in WWII.
People come here to meet, study at the State university located south west to it.
It is a landmark of Kharkov.
