5-story residential building completed in 1875. It is faced in pale-yellow stucco above a ground floor lined with various metal-and-glass storefronts, each with a different awning. The long facade facing the avenue has a central bay of paired windows separated by fluted pilasters. They have joined bracketed sills and are topped by triangular pediments, except at the top floor, where there is a flourish of decoration below the windows, including carved panels and pilasters between two small cornices and interesting pillars rising on either side. The north end of the facade has two bays of paired windows, while the south end has a bay of paired windows (with an extra window at the 2nd floor) spaced farther apart from the end bays, both of which have single-windows. These windows all have simple painted sills and lintels, some with cornices - except for the south end bay. It is slightly recessed, and elaborately ornamented with slender paneled pilasters, fluted colonnettes at the corner, spandrel panels (some with swags), and other decorations.
The narrow south facade has three bays of single-windows. The two western bays continue the elaborate ornament from the west facade's south bay, with additional ornament between the two bays. The east bay is recessed and far less ornamented, save for surrounds and cornices at the windows on the 3rd-5th floors. The residential entrance is at the ground floor of this bay, with a glass-and-metal door and sidelight. The south end of the building is crowned by a black metal roof cornice with console brackets, while the west facade (except for at the south end) has a simple, brown-painted parapet with a metal coping. There are two brown metal fire escapes with wide landings at the ends of this facade. The ground floor is occupied by 57 Market deli & grocery, Perfect Browns threading salon, Roosevelt's Barber Shop, Yanza Shoe Repair, Birch Coffee Shop, and Russian Dumplings. Ewa's Atelier tailoring is also on the 2nd floor.
