Created in 1869, named for Wm. Chapman, early pioneer. Has an ugly, recent sculpture of pioneers in the middle.

The Plaza Blocks (Lownsdale & Chapman Squares) were originally supposed to be gender-segregated. Chapman was the Plaza Block for women & children.
