The original Telstar house was destroyed by a fire on the 23 July 2003 (read about it here www.firetactics.com/TELSTAR%20HOUSE.htm) at the time it was used by London Underground as an admin / special projects office.

The original building was designed by Richard Seifert who is also responsible for (amongst others) Centre Point and Tower 42
