The San Ysidro port of entry is the busiest land crossing in World. It has been estimated over 300,000 people cross here every day.

Weekday morning commutes are long but Sunday afternoon and evening are by far the longest. It can take over three hours to cross.

  • Seems efficient, considering the huge numbers crossing. While staying in Chula Vista, CA; I crossed for dinner almost every night. I recommend visiting TJ on weeknights if possible to avoid long lines. And definitely use the San Diego trolley system to get there.
  • notice there is no line to get into mexico. you can literally drive over the border and barely have to slow down.
