The road bridge across the Dnieper River in Rogachev was built in 1959.
The length is almost 450 m.
The existing bridge was in disrepair: the beams had a critical deflection, the eighth span even had to be strengthened with special props. Traffic on the bridge was not stopped, but the permitted load was significantly limited.
In October 2017, the first stage of the reconstruction of the bridge structure started - preparatory work for organizing a bypass during the reconstruction of the existing bridge. On March 13, 2020, traffic was opened on the bypass bridge 288 m long, 3.2 km long with access roads.
In March 2020, the second stage started - the reconstruction of the existing bridge. The span structures and the metal channel truss were dismantled, and the existing supports were strengthened. Reinforced concrete spans have been erected. In April 2021, the installation of the 84-meter arch of the channel span was completed. The original appearance of this design is given by French shrouds. The reconstructed bridge was put into operation on July 2, 2021.
