| Pimlico Tube Station Much like any other tube station. It is the nearest stop to Tate Britain, and in the summer months a stream of tourists, much like ants, make their way there and back. The building directly above (outlined in the box) is currently being refurbished for Government use. Elizabeth David (nee Gwynne), the celebrity chef who brought mediterranean food products and cooking to the English diet after WW2 had a cookery shop in Pimlico from 1965. A sign of how bad things were then was that olive oil was considered as medication in England at that time, not a food. Category: metro station tube
