Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) is a Government of India owned Public Sector Undertaking located in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. It is India's first and oldest Shipyard.
Hindustan Shipyard Limited has constructed over a hundred vessels. It was the first shipyard in India to be awarded ISO-9001 quality accreditation.
Mrutyunjaya Maharana Was the Union Secreatary in This Company.
In Dec 2009 Government of India has decided that this shipyard will be further modernized and will be constructing ships and submarines for the Indian Navy in the coming years.
