6-story brutalist university building completed in 1977. Designed by DeYoung, Moscowitz & Rosenberg, The Pomerantz Center houses classrooms for Visual Presentation and Exhibition Design students, as well as drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture studios; a graphics laboratory; a model-making workshop; and the Katie Murphy Amphitheater. A number of department offices are located here, as well as the dean's office for the School of Art and Design.

The monolith building is clad in limestone, and the southern portion spans over 27th Street, connecting to the Goodman Building to the south. Along Seventh Avenue the top floors are predominantly windowless and jut out over the sidewalk, with a small arcade on either side of the 27th street entranceway below the top four floors that span the street. The building serves to anchor the campus, providing a notable gateway to the block-long campus.

To the north of the opening for 27th Street, the lower two floors have a glass curtain wall articulated into 3.5 bays. The 3rd floor is further divided into two bays of double-windows above each of the large bays of the base, and continues for another seven bays to the south, above the street and connecting to the Goodman Building. At the southern two bays, the 4th floor projects out, while at the rest of the bays, the projecting section is not until the 5th floor. At the north end of the east facade there is another recessed area of the base, with only one bay of windows at its south end (and one lone narrow window at the 2nd floor). The 3rd floor continues north for seven bays of double-windows, with the upper floors projecting out at the 3rd floor, except for the southern bay, where the projecting doesn't begin until the 6th floor. There are some scattered double-window bays here, along with a couple narrow single-windows, while the southern portion of the top floors have mostly more scattered narrow windows. The glass curtain wall of the base continues onto the east end of the south facade on 27th Street.

The north facade on 28th Street has no openings at the base, except for two narrow windows at the 2nd floor. The 3rd floor has 11 bays of double-windows, and the upper floors project out above it, with a few scattered double-windows and narrow single-windows. The 1-story Reeves Great Hall connects to the Pomeranz Center at the west end, overlapping the western two bays. The west facade also have a few scattered double-windows and narrow single-windows.

The interior lobby was renovated in 2018 by David Smotrich & Partners.
