Khatauli is an old small town.The name is derived from an Urdu phrase 'Khitta-e-wali' a place where saints live and according to some historians there were big weigh machines owned by Rawa Rajput community(A Rajput community)hence name Rawa Tauli got distorted over a period of time as Khatauli. People living here are simple, friendly and really nice.
