interesting place, art museum / art gallery, former train/railway station

Now housing an art gallery, this is the former passenger station and freight depot for the Lehigh Valley Railroad built c. 1908. Located on a spur off the Rochester Junction-Hemlock branch line, the station operated dedicated passenger services through 1935 and mixed services through 1938, when improving road connections made passenger service redundant. Used as a freight agent office until the 1968 closure of the line, the station was sold to private ownership and has since been adaptively reused as a home, studio, and gallery while retaining many of the interior features such as the ticket counter, stationmaster's office, and monogrammed windows and doors. The former platform is now used as the home's porch.
