Montreal's natural gem, this park was designed by Frderick Law Olmsted, the man who founded landscape architecture and designed New York's Central Park.

Wide gravelly paths welcome bikers and joggers, while hikers make use of myriad little trails. On the very top of the hill sits a cross that lights up at night.

On the west side visitors can enjoy Beaver Lake, which become a skating rink in winter. Montrealers invade the east side on Sundays, when the tam-tams gather dummers, sunbathers, artists, and hordes of wannabe medieval warriors.
