The work-site of the Industries Davie, situated on the shore south of the Saint Lawrence, to Lévis, opposite Quebec, was been founded in 1825 by the captain Allison Davie, a builder of sailing ship to square rigging and of vessels to vapor intend for the navigation on the river.
