A large steep-sided man-made circular mound (motte) of an old hill fort at Ballyknockan south of Leighlinbridge. It is identified with an ancient seat of the kings of Leinster (Laigin) called Dinn Rig (modern spelling Dinn Righ). The site is now almost completely overgrown with trees.
