Lake Benton 2 Wind Farm is located in southwestern Minnesota, stretching in a NNW-SSE direction from about 4 miles west of Ruthton to 4 miles north of Woodstock. Commissioned in 1999, it consists of 137 Zond-50 (750-kW) wind turbines with a combined nominal capacity of 102.75 MW.

Note: The wind farm was originally constructed with 138 turbines, but one was damaged (lightning?) sometime 2006-2008 and subsequently taken down.
