Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium (UT) (Austin, Texas) Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium (formerly Texas Memorial Stadium)is a football stadium located on the campus of the University of Texas in Austin, and is home to the UT Longhorn football program.
The current official stadium capacity is 94,113, making it the largest football venue in the state of Texas, the largest in the Big 12 Conference, and the fifth largest on-campus stadium in college football. The stadium was originally named "Texas Memorial Stadium" to honor the 198,520 Texans who fought in World War I. In 1996, it was re-named to honor legendary Longhorn football coach Darrell K.
