This area, now partially overlapping the Ecoland SPA was home to three bodies of waters, known as Shitponds for their dirty water. In Estonian they were known as Sitatiigid, in Russian they were called Govnotechka (cyrl. Говнотечка).

1 - The largest one of them, the Mugula Sitatiik, on the Northwest had an area about 450 m2, and was relatively shallow. It had reeds growing on its Eastern shores.
2 - The Eye of Concrete (Betoonisilm) was a circular-shaped, very deep pond on the southern part of the area. It had very steep shores, and this pond was potentially dangerous.
3 - The Eastern Trench (Idakraav) was a relatively small water-filled ditch on the Eastern edge of the area. It was heavily covered with reeds.

The Shitponds were reportedly existent in early 90s, it was confirmed that they existed in 1996. Later they had disappeared for some reasons somewhere around 2004 or earlier.
