This is a staging base for intercontinental bombers (Tu-22, etc). In 2001 it accepted Tu-95MS and Il-78 aircraft on exercise from Engels. It regularly practices flights to the Canadian arctic. Single parallel taxiway with two 600×80 m tarmacs. Civilian parking tarmac can accommodate 25 aircraft.
