Originally built as a country club in the 1920s and later served as the only public course for many years as the Bryan Municipal Golf Course (it became Travis B. Bryan Municipal Golf Course in 2010). It used to have a pool dating back to the country club days, which was visible for years because they simply filled it in before being dug out years later (you can STILL see the outline, look west of the parking lot). After December 31 2017 the course closed permanently for conversion into regular parkland, and will be developed in the years to come.
