Fifteen story, office building designed by Albert Kahn constructed in 1927. Originally headquarters for Maccabees Insurance until 1960. The Detroit Public Schools bought the building in 11960 to house their main administrative offices. In 2002, the property was acquired Wayne State University.
Also housed the first studios for WXYZ radio where The Green Hornet and Lone Ranger programs originated.
