Residence designed c. 1928 in the Italian Renaissance style by William Lawrence Bottomley on originally 8 acres of land for George Ernest Fahys, Sr {industrialist}. Fahys served as president of Fahys Watch Case Co. of Sag Harbor and Alvin Silver Co. of Sag Harbor. This was the third home built by Fahys, all named "Hilaire".
