Since 1926, the McAllen-Hidalgo-Reynosa International Crossing has served the interests of the U. S. and Mexico. It is one of the largest projects ever undertaken by the City of McAllen. There are two, four lane wide spans.

More than one hundred thirty thousand "Southbound" passengers and pedestrians cross the International Bridge every day. Yes, the figure is astonishing when you consider that it does not include northbound traffic. American citizens go to Reynosa for dining and shopping, and Mexican citizens come to McAllen to shop in the leading retail trade area of the Valley.
