Finds from the discovered eastern necropolis of the ancient city of Augusta Traiana in 2016.
Two marble sargophagi of impressive size were discovered during rescue excavations by archaeologists Maria Kamisheva and Atanas Atanasov from the Stara Zagora Historical Museum. The facilities are made of whole blocks of marble measuring 2.2 x 1.5 m, which are supported by metal rails covered with lead.
