The Buckingham, formerly known as Buckingham Plaza, is a 40-story, 400-ft (122 m) residential condominium skyscraper designed by Fujikawa Johnson and Associates. It was completed in 1982. Located on East Randolph Street in Chicago, it sits between the 340 on the Park building to its west and 400 East Randolph Street to its east. Two parks, Millennium Park and Lakeshore East Park are located to the building's south and north faces respectively. It is one of the few buildings on the New Eastside neighborhood that predate the residential towers in the Lakeshore East development.

There are 7 units on each residential floor of the building for a total of 305 units. An indoor pool, sauna, laundry room, fitness centre, and an open roof deck are located on the top floor. There are three high-speed elevators that run the entire height of the building plus one elevator that runs from the first floor to each floor of the 4-story underground parking garage.
