Milanpara Durga Puje was started in 1958. Founders are- Kanti Bhaumik,Kamal Roy, Badal Dey,Naresh Sengupta,Jiten Kundu,Prasata Sanyal,Utpal Neogi,Taru Dasgupta,Jogesh Das,Subrata Sengupta & many more names are tobe remember. Now this Durga puja is managed by the Women of Milanpara.This Mandir was constructed with the help of many resident of this para. however we can name Keya Kar (chaudhury)whose direct & indirect support we got from her.We can also name Himansu Bhaumik(Bablu) who has given his support direct & indirect to this Puja Commitee.In the same time we should not forget the name of Mihir Sengupta & Kebla Paul, Swapan Roy, Shibaji Sengupta, for their support to perform Durgapuja every year. There is the beuty of Kumari Puja which was began and sponsored by Giribala Bhaumik and after her death Keya chaudhury has performing the responsibility of Giribala Bhaumik with full devotion. 2008 will be our 50 Years of Foundation.
